No Soldier Stands Alone

No soldier stands alone today,

as flags are flying high.

They fight to save our freedom

some had to say goodbye.

Your soldier may not be here

he may be far away.

Take comfort in this thought,

He’s not alone today.

He may be active combat

or standing at a post,

or thinking of the people

That he loves the most.

Though miles may separate you

and time just passes on,

Our Lord reassures us-

No soldier stands alone.

We can’t be everywhere,

that our soldier is…

But God does keep an eye on him,

After all, he’s His.

So when you see our flag today

Pray for those who fight,

To give us all our freedoms;

to guarantee our rights.

In uniform he thinks he sees

a shadow looming near,

that shadow is our Savior

so soldier, do not fear.

Until the tour is over

And he comes marching home,

Today remember this,

No soldier stands alone.
